Process
After re-watching Wong Kar-wai's most popular films, I realized that locality is an important aspect in his films. I chose to use the skyscraping condominiums as the branding for this project as it is distinctive of Hong Kong's urban landscape, where Wong Kar-wai made most of his films. I then explored how his characters interacted with their locations and sketched out each scene of the movie in the windows of the apartments, to create hidden treasures for viewers to catch.
This project allowed me to challenged myself to see how far I can go with combining hand-drawn illustrations into a strict branding system that made them all belong to one family.
